Crossbar Location

A crossbar is a bar across the middle of the screen that adds extra support for large screens. To measure the crossbar, measure from the bottom of the screen to the middle of the crossbar, then round to the nearest inch.  Most insect screens do not have crossbars unless the screen is a full window screen for a double hung window.  Most solar screens do have a crossbar.

Round or circle screens are specialty screens that are used in applications such as gable vents.  A full line of window screen material is available.  To attach a round window screen to the frame there are several hardware options including:  directly screw the window frame to the structure with self tapping screws, casement clips or heavy-duty velcro.
